Well, since it now has a Mega evolution with the Dragon type, it's not really a problem any more. But its possible for a Pokemon to be related to other Pokemon of another type anyway. Types must change sometimes due to mutations.
Well, no, I don't buy that theory lol... It's well thought out, sure. But I think it's really simple. The legend that Cubone wears the skull of its dead mother is just a legend. The skull is just a part of its body. The Pokedex is chock full of unreliable folklore.
Gyrados is as much dragon type as Charizard. It comes from the legend of carp that leap over the rainbow to become a dragon. the only reason its not a dragon type in game is because water/dragon was way too OP in gen 1
Axew certainly belongs here, yes. Personally I think Gible should be related to Sharpedo, but not many people have agreed with me so it will probably end up in this tree too. We have more up to date versions of the reptilian tree if you are interested in seeing them.
I think if there was a little more color transition between the dragonite sprite and the set above it. The red is just to solid to seem that it would change that fast you know? It's just a little to solid to change like that. I think that a good color transition can make A HUGE difference ^-^ well thats just my opinion on it. Good luck on the rest of the family trees! You guys are doing a great job.
There is intended to be more transitionals in between, like most of my trees. The most important part is showing all the common ancestors. Personally the part of this tree that bugs me is Rayquaza, I think he should be more ancient.
[Redbox left] the white fur from the top of the head fills out the neck(probably to keep warm) as well as a tail sprouting to help maintain balance.. volcanic mountainside? black coloured soot and rocks would favour darker fur colourations leading to the next lineage. [Redbox right] ok this is a tough one... Front legs turn into wings, so you could use batlike wings or the such, something both leg and wing. whereas 2 "head stalks" grow out of the shoulderblades, allowing more air intake, therefore, more oxygen in higher altitudes. heads wouldn't be fully dev yet but would be like shoulder tentacle things...
Just my idea, You've probably already got them figured out anyway
Thanks, I'm glad you like it. I appreciate you want to help too, but please note that telling us our trees are "wrong" is not really helping. You can give suggestions and opinions but when you state your opinion about how a Pokémon should be related as a fact, it gets annoying. There is no real facts about this because Nintendo doesn't have an official pokemon tree of life.
question: do your evo trees involve fossil pokemon? because Aerodactyl will fit branching off from the evo line that turns into the charizard line (it would be early and it would condense so that the pre-evos are eliminated.)
